Kevin Gallagher Artist

I was born in Dungloe, Co Donegal, where I currently live and work as a professional Artist and Graphic Designer.
I have been working as an artist in a freelance capacity for more than sixteen years, learning many different mediums and skills, everything from traditional water colours to digital painting.
I work in both digital and traditional art forms, using Airbrush for Murals both Private and commercial, the airbrush is a perfect tool for large scale Murals allowing freedom to create subtle tones and colours that suite my style of work.
Portraiture is an art that is very rewarding to capture the personality of the subject and create a pleasing composition takes skill and discipline, it’s daunting and thrilling at the same time.
Seascape is impossible to ignore living on the rugged northwest coast and has always brought out the best in me as an artist trying to capture the energy and power of sea.
I have a great passion for technology and what it can offer the artist, we live it the age of computers and I feel we must use it to create art in all its positiveness.
